All summer long Jonathon has been asking when summer would be over so he could go to school. The night before school started, he was asking me when he could learn to read by himself. And then the first day of school arrived...
Jonathon is not one that likes to get dressed or head out the door early in the morning, so leaving the house before 8:30 a.m. was not his idea of a good time. But, by the time we got to school, he had decided that he would deal with it. He had a very apprehensive/timid look on his face, but went quietly with the teacher once we got to school.

When I picked him up, he didn't have much to say at first. Then he showed me the picture he drew and started talking about a Leo the Lion song he learned and the toys he played with and he obviously had a good time. I was informed, however, that he did NOT have a lot of fun at preschool...only a little bit of fun. I found out later that the real reason it wasn't so fun was that he didn't get to play on the fire truck during recess just the train, horse, squirrel, etc. etc. Silly boy!
This last picture of Jonathon and Ashley is just cute, so I had to post it.
